There are new FAA regulations on the transport of certain types of batteries. Check with the airline before you try to take these along, either as a carry-on or as checked luggage. Also you need to contact the carrier if you ship these, like with FedEx or UPS, as they may be classified as “dangerous goods” and have to be specially packaged and shipped. Here’s more info:
