Can you drill thru a guitar pick to make a necklace?

Its a regular Fender pick, med. weight… and I have a battery power drill. What kind of bit should I use, and will it work w/o shattering? Or should I just use a hammer & nail
Oh- I also saw that you can use a hot needle or nail. Does that make a more or less accurate hole than the drill?

The best way to first make tiny curled edge to be in plastic composition of the predrilled plywood pieces make tiny mark on both pieces by drilling into your favorite dining table.
An evenmorefancy jig could be then lineup and avoid drilling into your favorite dining table.
