Anyone know about a secret fix for Hilti cordless drill rechargeable batteries?(being sold on e-bay)?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008
WoodcarverFrank asked:

I have a model 121a hilti cordless drill driver 12 volt Ni Cd the batteries are fried, guns brand new though, new batteries are about $70.00 each with shipping. On e bay they have several listings for a quick fix for hilti batteries . Sounds too good to be true. Ever heard of it? Or for any batteries for that matter, I mean dead is dead right?

Jocelyn L asked:

If anyone happens to have a Consumer Reports subscription, can you tell me what they rank the best cordless drill? I don’t know squat about drills and it’s what my husband wants for x-mas. Thanks.

Can you leave cordless drill/driver plugged in for long extended periods?

Sunday, May 4th, 2008
robertinark asked:

I would like to buy a cordless drill/driver but would not be using on a regular basis (well… most of the time… infrequently). Would that do damage to the rechargeable batteries? Would it be better to only charge prior to when I know I will be needing to use it?
Any insight would be helpful. Thxs.

Whats the best kind of cordless drill?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008
BigJCliff asked:

I have one of those cheap (Jobmate 14.4V) cordless drills $40. I’m starting to use it a lot more and wanna buy a new better cordless drill. I didn’t want to spend to much, but I relize I’m gonna have to if I want a good one. DeWalt $200, Bosc $200, Black & Decker $100. Is Black & Decker decent? And what Volt do you recommend? I know they have 12V-36V 36V sounds unnecessary. HELP THANKS
