How can I find a cordless drill with a chuck that will hold? Most do not hold well?

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008
Lawrence I asked:

The old chuck wrench method worked well but all the new drill chucks are hand tightened and do not hold well. Bits and drills fall out or won’t turn when you try to drill a hole.

Is a DeWalt 18V cordless drill a good drill?

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008
foxycleopatra137 asked:

I went shopping for Father’s day early and bought my husband a DeWalt 18V Cordless Adjustable Clutch Driver/Drill, is it a good drill? He is a really great father and deserves something good. His last drill was a Craftsman and crapped out after a couple of years.
PS. I couldn’t find a “tools” category so I figured this one was close enough.

Where can I find a charger for my cordless drill. the brand name is Power Max and the serial # is 82-483?

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008
blue_boy404 asked:

I have looked everywhere on the net but can’t find anything. All I found was that they are sold at Walmart in Canada…. but I bought mine in the states. It is very good drill and would like to keep it, but I need a charger as the one it came with died. Maybe there is such a thing as a universal charger?

Makita or Milwaukee Cordless Hammer Drill?

Monday, June 16th, 2008
homehandyman07 asked:

I’m in the market for a new cordless hammer drill. Having read dozens of reviews and opinions, I’ve narrowed it down t either the:
- Makita 18V Li-ion 3 spd, or the
- Milwaukee 18V Li-ion 2 spd.
Which is better cordless drill…for regular trade use in tasks ranging from carpentry to small structural projects? Is the build quality similar?

New cordless drill emits a spark?

Saturday, June 14th, 2008
DANNY S asked:

Just bought a new B&D cordless drill. It emits a spark when you press the on button. Is this normal or defective. I can remember my dads old corded drills showing a spark while it was on. He said it was part of the (something) can’t remember. My partner says he’s taking it back but I don’t think it’s anything to fret about.
