Help with a Power Drill?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009
Jamie asked:

I have a black and decker drill( corded 5 amp http://www.azpartsmaster.com/images/catalog/eshop/e10520.jpg)

And it may sound funny, but it kinda sucks.
I was drilling through my ceiling, to run a cat5 cable through the attic, and the drill with the bit wont come out of the ceiling. Its about 6 inches in, and its about as thick as an index finger. When I try and undrill it, the drill steams, so I dont want to break the drill. I dont want to disattach the drill from the bit right now because I want to see if there is a way to get this fixed. Is there anyway other than using a higher amped drill to get that bit down?
Thanks.
Thanks for all of the great answers. I will use vise grips and follow up on this thread tomorrow. Mike’s comment is wrong, the drill still works fine. And the reason you need a big hole is not just for the wire, its because the ends of the cat5 cable is much fatter than the cord itself.
