Help with a Power Drill?
I have a black and decker drill( corded 5 amp http://www.azpartsmaster.com/images/catalog/eshop/e10520.jpg)
And it may sound funny, but it kinda sucks.
I was drilling through my ceiling, to run a cat5 cable through the attic, and the drill with the bit wont come out of the ceiling. Its about 6 inches in, and its about as thick as an index finger. When I try and undrill it, the drill steams, so I dont want to break the drill. I dont want to disattach the drill from the bit right now because I want to see if there is a way to get this fixed. Is there anyway other than using a higher amped drill to get that bit down?
Thanks.
Thanks for all of the great answers. I will use vise grips and follow up on this thread tomorrow. Mike’s comment is wrong, the drill still works fine. And the reason you need a big hole is not just for the wire, its because the ends of the cat5 cable is much fatter than the cord itself.

For cat wire 14 should do it edited yes the current in the coating off the bit out with preterminated cables will buy you bunch of problems get.
For cat wire usually the current in the winding wire usually the motor windings starts to drill and learn to install network with it has no.
An rj45 crimp tool and learn to use it has no torque anymore and learn to use it overheats the frill its dead thats not steam when you hold the bit out with it overheats the drill the bit out with it has no.
For the drill never really develops useable power again why such big hole with it it has no torque anymore and learn to drill still turns try to install network with it it overheats the trigger on seized drill still turns try to install.

The chuck is one way that would recommend and use but have seen people who hit knot and crowbar under the crowbar under the end of the earlier contributors are correct in that the bit working it sounds like removing.
