How safe are power tools?

Posted by admin
coasterfreak110 asked:

I am fourteen years old, and I have used probably about a dozen power tools safely, and many times. I have become more interested in building, and have the money to buy a kit of the necessary power tools, but I cannot persuade my parents to allow me to have them, as they think power tools are not safe. Are there any statistics stating they are safe, or is there a way I can prove to them I know how to use these tools correctly?

I doubt there are any statistics on how safe powertools are…..Im guessing they’re pretty safe if you know how to use them haha, other wise you’ll lose a hand.

if u r a not getting into any kind of trouble, never lie and always r where u r suppose to b, ur parents should trust u enough to let u get those tools.
then again, maybe they r just afraid of u growing up to fast and don’t want to believe it themselves.
talk to them and plead ur case with logic and good manners and respect
