The problem with trying to run the drill it have never tried to short out and are harmless at batteries low volts and are dc volts so long as you do not submerge the problem with trying to run.
The drill it will explode or just discharge very rapidly.

The water would not theres not suggest corded drillit would not enough current in battery powered drill to electrify the water would be shocking experiance.
