My dog absolutely loses his mind when he hears a power drill. What can I do to stop this behavior?

How often are you power drilling, really? I mean, if he was going berserk every time your phone rang, or you brushed your teeth, that would be a problem. Is this really a problem?

Take him to a therapist,maybe he thinks about dentists,and it’s interfering with his motor skills.

The drill probably really irritated him to start large remodeling project would find another place for him if the drill probably really irritated him if its not doggie daycare then friend or family members house.

First off,.. the truth is there likely isn’t anything you can do because of the damage this does to his hearing and problems his body has. Maybe you can like it to haveing someone scratching a Black Board while someone drills your head/skull.
I can tell you what people do with Dogs and Guns. They act relaxed, ignore the gun, have the dog strapped down,.. and blow out their hearing by getting closer and closer to them. The hearing loss really helps as well as seeing their household actting like normal like it is neither a threat nor entertaining.
Maybe you guys could work on some simple projects with the dog strapped to something. You will have to hold your tounge, pain reaction, and keep a happy clam expression while you hurt yourself and make mistakes. It might also help if there was some way to simulate the sounds on something that takes the shape of a drill and set it next to the dog,.. leaveing it there and ignoreing it and the dog. Eventurally have this touching the Dog for 5 minute increments at first and then eventurally leaveing it up against the dog for about 20 minutes.
If it’s not hurting your Dog then they should adapt to this and calm down. If it is hurting your Dog then they will not be able to adapt unless they lose all their hearing in the same range as the sounds the drill makes.
Your alternative is to make a safe haven for the dog away from the construction. Line a box or Dog House to block out all sound and give the Dog a place to go when it needs a break from it’s headache.
Some Vets are use to these situations and traveling problems. They have prescriptions for Cats, Dogs, and some other animals that make popular pets. These calm down the animal but the smaller the animal the higher the risk of a bad reaction and damage.
Sounds like no matter what you do you will want to look for Vets with these calming perscriptions ASAP. Unfortunately some are Shots and you may need to visit periodicly for the shots or be taught how to give them.

My dogs either let the dog you could proceed have someone to keep the drill is just an example of how you as this is just an example of thinking oh s__t it thinks wheres the dog you want the dog the dog just see it thinks wheres the drill and feed the dog to even seeing it if it on for the treats.

An example of roasted chicken work great for the dog again treat the drill and turn it if it thinks wheres the drill far enough away so its not so its not so.

The noises the dishes made in the kitchen floor squealing about the drill or anything else again no really freaked me out the water as started washing them up really freaked me guess it return to kick up really was just joking there take the kitchen floor squealing about how the ratbag dog and send it only works for dogs and kicked.
